This 5 frame nucleus bee hive (Nuc) is started from a package in early April. Avoid any potential issues with packages like lost queens or poor growth. A nuc will consist of at minimum 3 frames brood in various stages, 1 frame of honey/pollen, and 1 partially drawn frame. The exact composition depends on many factors.

Pick up date is tentatively Saturday May 18th in the morning. Pick up location is in Wasilla. Customers will be kept informed if pick up day or time changes.

When transferring to an 8 or 10 frame hive, replace the center 5 frames with the nuc frames. I recommend giving them sugar water and pollen patties for a week or two unless there is available forage.
